Nous attendions une confirmation officielle pour parler de cette rumeur qui circule depuis bientôt une semaine, et d'après le site Production Weekly, Rob fait bien parti du casting du projet 'Damsel', un western/comédie dirigé par les frères Zellner et dont le tournage devrait débuter ce 12 Juillet jusqu'au 2 Septembre! Le film est décrit comme un western comédie à propos d'un homme qui essaie d'épouser la femme de ses rêves. Annoncée au casting aux cotés de Rob, l'actrice Mia Wasikowska, une de ses amies avec qui il avait déjà tourné dans 'Maps to the Stars'. Tout deux devaient déjà travailler ensemble l'année dernière dans un western nommé 'Brimstone' mais ils n'avaient pas pu aller au bout du projet. C'est donc une nouvelle opportunité de les voir réunis pour un western. Et en plus une comédie! Nous sommes plus que ravies de voir enfin Rob dans une comédie! Genre dans lequel nous sommes sur qu'il va exceller! Il semblerait que ce soit pour ce film que Rob se soit fait faire de fausses dents en argent (lire ici). Nous n'en savons pour le moment pas plus sur ce nouveau projet mais ne manquerons pas de vous tenir informé! 

We were waiting for an official confirmation about this rumor going around for almost a week, and according to Production Weekly's website, Rob is part of the cast of the project 'Damsel', a western/comedy directed by Zellner brothers and which filming is expected to begin on July 12 until September 2! The movie is described as a western comedy about a man who is trying to marry the woman of his dreams. Announced in the cast alongside Rob, actress Mia Wasikowska, one of his friends with whom he has already work in 'Maps to the Stars'. They both were already casted to work together last year in a western called 'Brimstone' but they were not able to do this project. Here is a new opportunity to see them together for a Western. And a comedy! We are more than excited to finally see Rob in a comedy! A sort of movie in which we are sure he will excel! It seems that it is for this movie that Rob is going to have two fake silver teeth (read here). We don't know much about this new project for the moment but will certainly keep you update!

Derniers news concernant le film de science-fiction 'High Life' dirigé par Claire Denis avec Robert Pattinson, Patricia Arquette, Mia Goth et Lars Eidinger qui s'ajoute au casting. Nous apprenons via Filmneweurope que le film a reçu 1.5 million pour sa production  par l'Institut Polonais du Film. Ce film est une co-production entre la France, l'Allemagne, le Royaume Uni et la Pologne. La Pologne s'ajoute également aux quelques lieux de tournages déjà choisis et le tournage devrait commencer à l'automne. Le budget du film est de 7,2 millions d'euros.

WARSAW: High Life, the first English-language film from Palm D'Or winner Claire Denis, has received 1.5 m PLN from the Polish Film Institute. The film will be a coproduction between France, Germany, UK and Poland.

High Life is a sci-fi drama set in the outer space, where the main characters live in complete isolation. The all-star cast includes Robert Pattinson, Patricia Arquette, Mia Goth and Lars Eidinger. The screenplay was written by Claire Denis with Jean-Paul Fargeau, Geoffe Cox in co-operation with Zadie Smith and Nick Laird. Stuart Staples and the Tindersticks will compose the music. The DoP is Agnes Godard.
The film is a coproduction between France (Alcatraz Films), Germany (Pandora Film), UK (Apocalypse Films) and Poland (Madants).

"I've been an admirer of her work for years and when I read about her upcoming project last year in Cannes I immediately contacted all the producers involved in the project offering my assistance. I was ready to make coffee on set,” Klaudia Śmieja of Madants, this year's Cannes Producer on the Move, told FNE in an exclusive interview.
The budget of the film is 7.2 m EUR. The film will be shot at several locations including some in Poland. Film Commission Poland is assisting the producers with location scouting.

Harmony Korine: Non, je suis encore en train de chercher des solutions. Je devais le tourner l'année dernière. Nous étions à deux semaines du tournage. Je suis arrivé au plus près de la date de début et j'ai eu des problèmes avec l'un des acteurs. Nous avons dû mettre le film en mode en pause, puis le tournage a été encore repoussé. Je ne veux pas vraiment rentrer dans les détails, mais ça tenait plus d'une histoire de personnalité avec l'un des acteurs.
Donc, nous avons mis le tournage en pause et nous avons refait un casting. Nous sommes censés attendre le mois de mai pour tourner. Mais il y a que je perds un certain intérêt pour les choses après un certain temps. Même si ce film était prêt à se faire, j'ai une autre idée pour un autre film. Une idée qui ne fait que me revenir encore et encore. J'ai passé les deux derniers mois à écrire sur cette idée, et j'en ai presque fini avec le script. Je sens que je vais peut-être faire ce nouveau film en premier.

Harmony Korine: On devait tourner l'année dernière mais j'ai eu des soucis avec un des acteurs, alors on devait tourner en Mai de cette année mais j'ai tendance à perdre un certain intérêt pour les choses assez vite. On était si près de le faire – tout le film était sur storyboards et déjà financé. Je le ferais et je ferais quand même un film cette année. J'étais angoissé en attendant que The Trap se fasse alors j'ai écrit un autre script.

Deux de nos amis étaient présents à la BFI pour la rencontre/conversation avec Harmony Korine hier soir à Londres et voici ce qu'ils ont dit: "Une personne du public a demandé à Korine si ça avançait sur sa trilogie sur la Floride (il avait précédement mentionné qu'il avait déjà écrit 2 scripts, et que Spring Breakers était le premier de la trilogie) et il a répondu 'pas encore'. A la fin il était en train de discuter tranquilement et de signer des autographes alors nous lui avons demandé si il avait une date de tournage pour THE TRAP. Il a répondu que ça avait été repoussé l'année dernière parce qu'un acteur n'était pas disponible,  et qu'il devait tourner normalement en Mai 2016 mais que ça avait été de nouveau REPOUSSé dû à la non disponiblité d'un acteur alors il ne sait pas lequel des deux scripts il va tourner en premier. Il était calme et heureux et il semblait SUR DE LUI SUR LE FAIT QU'ILS ALLAIENT ETRE FIMé TOUS LES DEUX, c'est juste une histoire de d'agenda, mais ils seront tournés de toutes façons en Floride."

Your next movie is The Trap. Have you started filming?

Harmony Korine: No. I’m still figuring it out. I was supposed to shoot it last year. We were two weeks out. I got as close to shooting as you could be, and then I had issues with one of the actors. We had to pause the film, and then the movie got pushed back on the dates. I don’t really want to go into specifics, but it was more of a personality thing with one of the actors.
So, we put a halt to the film and recast the movie. We’re supposed to wait until this May to shoot it. I just have this thing where I lose interest in things after a while. Even though that movie was ready to go, I have this other idea for a film. An idea kept cracking me up and cracking me up. I spent the last couple of months writing this thing, and I’m pretty much almost done with this script. I feel like I’m maybe going to do this new one first.

Harmony Korine: We were supposed to shoot it last year but we had issues with one of the actors, so we were meant to start shooting it this May but I have a tendency to lose interest really fast. I was so close to doing it too – I had the whole thing storyboarded and ready and financed. I’ll still make it and I’ll still be making a movie this year. I got antsy waiting for The Trap to happen so I wrote another script.

"Two of our very personal friends attended 'BFI Harmony Korine in Conversation' yesterday evening in London UK and this is what they had to say: "An audience member asked Korine if he had an plans for the next in his 'Florida' trilogy (he'd previously mentioned that he's written two scripts already, and Spring Breakers is the first in the trilogy) and he just said 'not yet'. So at the end he was chatting freely and signing so we asked him if he's got a date for the start of THE TRAP. He said it was delayed from last year because of actor availability, then was supposed to happen in May 2016 but it's been DELAYED due to availability again so he doesn't know which of the two scripts he'll shoot first. He was calm and happy and seemed CONFIDENT THAT THEY'LL BE FILMED, it's just timing, but they'll definitely be shot in Florida."

While comic book sites breathlessly reported recently that Tom Holland was spotted in Germany, presumably suiting up to play Spider-Man in "Captain America: Civil War," it looks like the actor will racking up some more air miles.

Sierra/Affinity has announced that production has started on James Gray's long in the works "The Lost City Of Z." Basically, James Gray is going into the jungle for his next movie, and that doesn't get you excited, I don't know what will. Paramount Pictures will release the film in the U.S. And maybe we'll get a first look soon? With festival season heating up and everyone anxious to get their movies on the radar, fingers crossed.

Writer-director Martin Koolhoven’s (Winter in Wartime) upcoming thriller Brimstone, starring Mia Wasikowska (Maps to the Stars), Guy Pearce (The Hurt Locker), Robert Pattinson (Twilight Saga) and Carice van Houten (Black Book), has closed key deals and added finance ahead of its June 15 shoot.

Among pre-sales to close for Embankment Films are Germany (Koch Media) and France (The Jokers Films) with savvy French outfit Back-Up Media and Holland’s N279 Entertainment arranging financing on the film with London-based New Sparta Films and Filmwave. 

Uwe Schott (Cloud Atlas, Amour) of X-Filme, Els Vandevorst (Winter in Wartime) of N279 and Belgium’s Prime Time will produce.

In Brimstone, Wasikowska will play a heroine on the run from her past, chased by a diabolical preacher played by Pearce. Set in the American West, Paterson is set to play an outlaw.

The film will shoot in Romania, Spain and Germany. DoP is Rogier Stoffers (School of Rock) and editor will be Jobter Burg (Black Book).

UK outfit Embankment handles international rights. CAA and WME are representing the US sale.

Screen Australia board’s first meeting since Graeme Mason was hired as CEO was eventful as the agency approved $11 million investment in four feature films, four adult dramas and one children’s series.
All told, that will trigger $70 million in production. The features include family film Oddball from the team who made Kenny, starring Shane Jacobson and directed by his brother Clayton; and See-Saw Films’ Life, which stars Dane DeHaan and Robert Pattinson.
Two theatrical documentaries were funded: Only the Dead, which explores the career of Australian war correspondent Michael Ware; and Sherpa: In the Shadow of the Mountain, which looks at the drama of a high altitude Everest expedition from the point of view of the Sherpas.
“This is a strong line-up of character-driven feature projects coming from an incredibly talented mix of filmmakers,” said Mason.
Scripted by Peter Ivan, Oddball centres on an eccentric chicken farmer who saves a colony of penguins by putting his sheepdog on their island. The producers are Richard Keddie, Steve Kearney and Sheila Hanahan Taylor; Roadshow will distribute.

Et un article de ScreenDaily, annonce que 'Mission:Blacklist' a obtenu le feu vert et un financement pour l'année prochaine:
