Le 5ème Festival de Cinéma Franco-Américain des Champs Élysées se tiendra du 7 au 14 juin 2016 et proposera de nombreuses projections, des rencontres, des master class, des soirées spéciales. Il y a de nombreux invités dont le réalisateur Américain Brady Corbet. Une courte biographie est publiée sur le site avec une mention de 'The Childhood of a Leader':

The 5th Franco-American Champs Élysées Film Festival will take place from 7 to 14 June 2016 with many screenings, meetings, master classes, special events. There are many guests including American director Brady Corbet. A short biography is published on the site with a mention of 'The Childhood of a Leader':

Il est indiqué qu'il y aura une master class avec Brady Corbet. Il présentera également ses films et sa Carte Blanche. La programmation n'a pas encore été dévoilée pour le moment et nous ne savons pas quels films y seront projetés. Nous ne pouvons que croiser les doigts pour que 'The Childhood of a Leader' y soit présenté! Ça serait la première projection officielle du film en France. C'est tellement excitant! Nous vous tiendrons au courant dès que nous en saurons plus!

It is indicated that there will be a master class with Brady Corbet. He will also present his films and his Carte Blanche. The schedule has not been unveiled for now and we don't know which films will be screened. We can only cross our fingers for 'The Childhood of a Leader' to be presented! It would be the first official screening of the film in France. This is so exciting! We will update you as soon as we know more!

The Childhood of a Leader fera son avant-première au Royaume-Uni le 18 Juin au Festival du Film International d’Édimbourg. Et les tickets sont en vente dès ce vendredi 27 Mai sur leur site ici. Nous ne savons pas pour le moment s'il y aura des invités lors de cette avant-première.

The Childhood of a Leader' will have it's UK premiere on 18th June at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. Tickets are on sale since this friday 27th May on their website here. We don't know yet if some guests will attend the premiere.

The FilmStage vient de révéler la liste des films qui feront leur avant-première à New York au Festival BAM Cinema et 'The Childhood of a Leader' de Brady Corbet en fait parti! Le festival se tient en Juin du 15 au 26 à New York. Pas plus d'informations pour le moment mais nous vous tiendrons informés.

The FilmStage just unveiled the line-up for the BAM Cinema Festival and 'The Childhood of a Leader' by Brady Corbet will have a New York premiere! The festival takes part in June 15-26 in New York. No more informations for now but we will keep you update. 

We now know thanks to the official BAM Festival website that the New York premiere of the movie will take place on June 23. Tickets are available here.

'The Childhood of a Leader': Interview Intéressante de Brady Corbet concernant son Film

Here are a few interesting extracts of Brady's interview with Nicholas Wennö and not the full interview given that there are big spoilers about the ending at the source. (Thanks to RPAU for the translation)

”No one is born an extremist,” reads the headline on the website of National coordinator against violent extremism. The page continues: “Together we can prevent violent extremism. Through prevention, we will strengthen the individual and society. ”

The actor Brady Corbet would probably agree on most things. Today is the premiere of his mysterious and strange directorial debut “The Childhood of a Leader” … following an unstable young boy’s gradual road to fascism. A sort of “scenes from a childhood” which borrows its name from Jean-Paul Sartre’s short story from 1939 about a weak and insecure young man who embraces an anti-Semitic and fascist ideology.

– The whole concept of the movie was to avoid anything that was psychological, which is a bit of a paradox for something that is basically a kind of psychodrama, says Brady Corbet sitting in a hotel at the Avenue in Gothenburg with black beanie, red scarf and a pinstriped jacket.
