Après l'annonce de la présence de Rob au Festival du Film de New York le 15 Octobre et au Go GO Gala le 5 Novembre, il semblerait qu'il soit parmi les invités du Festival du Film de Lisbonne & Estoril au Portugal! Festival qui se tiendra du 4 au 13 Novembre. Ni 'The lost city of Z' ni un autre de ses films ne sont listés sur le site du Festival. Ils indiquent que plus d'informations seront communiquées plus tard.

UPDATE: Étrange, la photo de Rob a été retirée du site du Festival. Une erreur? Un changement de programme? Prenons donc cette info de participation à ce Festival avec des pincettes.

More good news! After the announcement of Rob attending the New York Film Festival on October 15th and the Go Go Gala on November 5th, he seems to be listed among the guests of the Lisbon & Estoril Film Festival in Portugal! The festival will take place from November 4th to 13th. Neither 'The lost city of Z' or another of his films are in the lineup of the Festival site. More information will be communicated later.

UPDATE: It's strange, the picture of Rob has been removed from the Festival website. A mistake? A change of program? Whatever, we are going to take this info of Rob attending this festival with a pinch of salt.

UPDATE 2: We have confirmation that the presence of Rob's name in the guest list for the Lisbon Film Festival was a mistake.

On avait entendu parlé de Venise, du TIFF, et même de Cannes, et finalement il sera au Festival de New York en Octobre prochain! The Lost City of Z, écrit et réalisé par James Gray (The Immigrant, Two Lovers), clôturera les 54ème Festival du Film de New York. James Gray’s emotionally and visually resplendent epic tells the story of Lieutenant Colonel Percy Fawcett (a remarkable Charlie Hunnam), the British military-man-turned-explorer whose search for a lost city deep in the Amazon grows into an increasingly feverish, decades-long magnificent obsession that takes a toll on his reputation, his home life with his wife (Sienna Miller) and children, and his very existence. Gray and cinematographer Darius Khondji cast quite a spell, exquisitely pitched between rapture and dizzying terror. Also starring Robert Pattinson and Tom Holland, The Lost City of Z represents a form of epic storytelling that has all but vanished from the landscape of modern cinema, and a rare level of artistry.

Hopefully Rob will be in Berlin next month and we'll see the trailers of these two movies very soon! PromoRob is coming! We will add the exact date as soon as it's available :)

In Queen of the Desert, the one-time Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson plays Lawrence of Arabia, aka T.E. Lawrence, alongside star Nicole Kidman as explorer, writer, archeologist and British Intelligence officer Gertrude Bell. Queen of the Desert also features Homeland's Damian Lewis as Charles Doughty-Wylie, a married British officer who had an unconsummated affair with Bell, and James Franco as Henry Cadogan.

Thirty films are included in the lineup of the 52nd NYFF, which also features new work from Pedro Costa, Abel Ferrara, Jean-Luc Godard, Bennett Miller, Mike Leigh, Mia Hansen-Løve, the late Alain Resnais, Alice Rohrwacher, and the Safdie Brothers, among others. The list joins previously announced the Opening Night World Premiere Gone Girl by David Fincher, Centerpiece World Premiere Inherent Vice by Paul Thomas Anderson, and Closing Night Gala Selection, Birdman or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance by Alejandro G. Iñárritu.

The Main Slate lineup includes five North American and 14 U.S. Premieres with a number of films that have received prominent awards at festivals around the world. Four films received prizes at this year's Cannes, including Alice Rohrwacher’s The Wonders, the winner of the 2014 Grand Prix Award; Bennett Miller’s Foxcatcher, for which he was named Best Director; David Cronenberg’s Maps to the Stars, for which Julianne Moore took the prize for Best Actress, and Mike Leigh’s Mr. Turner, for which Timothy Spall received the Best Actor Award for his performance as the painter J.M.W. Turner.

David Cronenberg takes Bruce Wagner’s script—a pitch-black Hollywood satire—chills it down, and gives it a near-tragic spin. The terrible loneliness of narcissism afflicts every character from the fading star Havana (Julianne Moore, who won the Best Actress Award at Cannes for her nervy performance) to the available-for-anything chauffeur (Robert Pattinson) to the entire Weiss family, played by John Cusack, Olivia Williams, Evan Bird, and Mia Wasikowska. The last two are brother and sister, damaged beyond repair and fated to repeat the perverse union of their parents. And yet, in their murderous rages, they have the purity of avenging angels, taking revenge on a culture that needs to be put out of its misery—or so it must seem to them. Cronenberg’s visual strategy physically isolates the characters from one another, so that their occasional violent connections pack a double whammy. An eOne Films release.
