'The Lost City of Z' in French Theaters on March 15 2017!

'The Lost City Of Z' a enfin une Date de Sortie en France! Le 15 Mars 2017!

Studio Canal annonce enfin une date de sortie Française pour 'The Lost City of Z' de James Gray avec Robert Pattinson, et ça sera le 15 Mars prochain! A vos agendas!

Charlie Hunnam et Robert Pattinson exploreront l’Amazonie au cinéma en mars.

Habitué aux environnements urbains et aux histoires intimistes (La Nuit nous appartient, The Immigrant…), James Gray s’est lancé dans une expédition en Amazonie avec The Lost City of Z, un projet qu’il tentait de monter depuis plusieurs années avec Brad Pitt, puis Benedict Cumberbatch. Ce sont finalement Charlie Hunnam, Robert Pattinson, Sienna Miller et Tom Holland qui participent à cette aventure inspirée d’une histoire vraie racontée par David Grann dans son ouvrage éponyme publié en 2009 : en 1925, l’explorateur Percy Fawcett a disparu alors qu’il était à la recherche d’une civilisation perdue en Amérique du Sud. Quelques images du tournage avaient filtré au printemps, mais la production les a supprimées le temps de remonter une autre bande-annonce, qui sera sans doute dévoilée officiellement dans peu de temps, car StudioCanal annonce aujourd’hui que le film sortira le 15 mars prochain.

Quelques secondes d’une chanson pop entrainante font de cette scène de 'The Rover' un fulgurant concentré de ce que ce satané film a à nous dire et de la métamorphose de Pattinson.

Dans le monde en déréliction qui sert de décor à 'The Rover' Robert Pattinson évolue comme un pur produit de son époque, 10 ans après le shutdown de l’économie occidentale. Un survivant permanent qu’on imagine mal se détendre au son d’un hit de dancefloor. Quand "Pretty Girl Rock" de Keri Hilson démarre, le son arrive avant l’image de cette scène de rien du tout qui se révèle pourtant aussi entêtante que cet irrésistible morceau.
Pattinson est assis dans sa bagnole, fredonne d’une voix fluette le refrain pendant quelques secondes et c’est un peu du monde normal qui réapparait, le monde dans lequel des gamins de 20 ans dodelinent de la tête en reprenant des paroles à la con sur des rythmes entrainants. Si The Rover sidère par la puissance avec laquelle il réveille les angoisses enfouies dans la psyché collective, cette scène évoque mieux qu’aucune autre à quel point la déréliction nous est proche. L’ancien vampire glabre et propret y est vêtu d’un tee-shirt crade, sa blessure pisse régulièrement le sang et il est seul au monde. En lambeaux et magnifique, il nous demande l’amour. « It’s not my fault so please don’t trip/ Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful ».

A few seconds of a lively pop song, make of this scene of 'The Rover', a dazzling concentrate of what this damned movie has to tell us about Pattinson's transformation.

In the abandonned world which is the setting of 'The Rover', Robert Pattinson evolves as a pure product of his time, ten years after the shutdown of the western economy.

It's hard for us to imagine this survivor, relaxing himself at the sound of a dancefloor hit.

When "Pretty Girls Rock" by Keri Hilson starts, the sound comes before the images of this really simple scene, that reveals itself as heady as this irresistible track

Pattinson is sitting in his car, humming the chorus with a thin voice for a few seconds, and it's a bit of the real world  who reappears, the world in which 20 years old kids are able to shake their heads while singing some stupids lyrics on catchy rythms.

If The Rover bewilders by his power to awake fears burried in the collective psyche, this scene evokes better than others that the dereliction is close for us.

The former smooth and neat vampire, is wearing a dirty tshirt, his wound is pissing blood regularly and he is on his own.

Ragged and beautiful, he is pleading us for love : « It’s not my fault so please don’t trip/ Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful ».

A l'affiche de deux films cannois -The Rover et Maps to the Stars- Robert Pattinson est en couverture de Première.

Ca y est, Robert Pattinson est définitivement passé à la vitesse supérieure et a laissé Twilight loin derrière lui. Il sera dans deux films très attendus au Festival de Cannes 2014 : The Rover, western post-apocalyptique hyper violent, brutal et sans concessions, et Maps to the Stars, sa deuxième collaboration avec David Cronenberg après le tournant Cosmopolis, drame familial psycho qui autopsie Hollywood. L'occasion rêvée de le mettre aussi en couverture du prochain numéro de Première, avec son dossier spécial Cannes qui fait le point sur tous les films et événements de la Croisette cru 2014.

Et l'occasion aussi d'interviewer Robert en long, en large et en travers : il nous parle des dessous de tournage de sa scène de sexe avec Julianne Moore dans Maps to the Stars ("j'étais essoufflé, complètement trempé... Et elle, pas du tout"), du tournage hyper intense de The Rover ("un film affamé") en plein milieu du désert australien, de ce que représente Cannes pour lui, des réalisateurs James Gray et Romain Gavras... With two films in Cannes - The Rover and Maps to the Stars - Robert Pattinson is on the cover of Premiere Magazine.

That's it, Robert Pattinson has definitely moved up a gear and left Twilight behind him. We will see him in two highly anticipated movies at Cannes Film Festival 2014: The Rover, a post-apocalyptic and hyper violent western, brutal and uncompromising, and Maps to the Stars, his second collaboration with David Cronenberg after Cosmopolis, a psychological family drama which autopsy Hollywood. The perfect opportunity to put  him on the cover of next issue of Premiere, the Cannes issue, with its special file about Cannes, which reports on all the movies and events of this year 2014 on the Croisette.
 

The opportunity to interview Robert too: he talks about his sex scene with Julianne Moore in Maps to the Stars ("I was breathless, soaked ... and her, not at all"), about the hyper intense filming of The Rover (a "hungry" movie) in the middle of the Australian desert, about what Cannes means for him, about directors James Gray and Romain Gavras ... And most importantly, as you can see on our cover, the opportunity to discover the former Edward Cullen like no one has ever seen him before on a photoshoot ... colorful, we will say.
