C'est ce soir que se tiendra le GO GO Gala 2016 avec les ambassadeurs Robert Pattinson et Ewan McGregor! Cette grande soirée de bienfaisance et sa vente aux enchères permettent de récolter de nombreux fonds pour améliorer les conditions de vie et d'éducation de nombreux enfants dans le monde entier. Le cocktail débutera à 18h30 à Los Angeles ce qui fera 2h30 du matin pour nous en France (vu que nous avons changé d'heure le weekend dernier et que les États Unis ne changeront que dans la nuit de ce samedi à dimanche). Nous ne savons pas à quelle exactement débutera le tapis rouge mais sans doute un peu avant alors restez attentifs.

'Idol's Eye': Le Film d'Olivier Assayas est Toujours d'Actualité avec Rob, Sylvester Stallone & Rachel Weisz au Casting!

Le réalisateur français Olivier Assayas confiait dernièrement lors de divers interviews le fait de pouvoir de nouveau, soutiens financiers à l'appui, réaliser le film 'Idol's Eye' qui avait été annulé juste avant son tournage en 2014. Vous vous souvenez de ce projet avec Rob et Robert de Niro? Et bien il semblerait qu'il soit réellement revenu à la vie deux ans après et que Rob soit toujours attaché au projet! Robert de Niro quant'à lui est remplacé par Sylvester Stallone pour des raisons de planning, et le tournage devrait avoir lieu en Février 2017 à Toronto. Rachel Weisz fait aussi parti du casting. 

Inspiré de faits réels, l'histoire suit un petit voleur (Robert Pattinson) qui vole accidentellement un diamant bleu appartenant au patron de la mafia de Chicago Tony Accardo (Sylverster Stallone), ce qui déclenche une guerre entre les deux protagonistes, alors que le FBI est sur leurs traces.

French director Olivier Assayas recently told during various interviews that he could, with financial support this time, make the movie 'Idol's Eye' which was canceled just before its filming in 2014. You remember this project with Rob and Robert de Niro? Well it appears that it's still alive two years later and that Rob is still attached to the project! Robert de Niro is replaced by Sylvester Stallone for schedule reasons, and filming should take place in February 2017 in Toronto. Rachel Weisz is also part of the cast.
Inspired by actual events, the story follows a petty thief (Robert Pattinson) who accidentally steals a blue diamond belonging to Chicago mafia boss Tony Accardo (Sylvester Stallone), triggering a war between the two protagonists, while the FBI is on their tracks.

Lotus Entertainment has launched sales here on Idol’s Eye, Olivier Assayas’ cherished heist thriller that will now star Sylvester Stallone as Chicago mob boss Tony Accardo.
Stallone replaces Robert De Niro and takes his place alongside Robert Pattinson and Rachel Weisz on the $25m project, which has been reassembled and is ready to shoot in Toronto in February after financing fell through in late 2014.
Lotus came on board to finance and sell international rights after Toronto International Film Festival. WME Global assembled the revised package and represents US rights.

Sylvester Stallone Replaces Robert De Niro In Olivier Assyas’ ‘Idol’s Eye’ With Robert Pattinson & Rachel Weisz

Some projects fall apart, but the persistence of the filmmakers and the right number of circumstances allows them to live again. Such is the case with Olivier Assayas‘ “Idol’s Eye.” Slated to star Robert Pattinson, Robert De Niro, and Rachel Weisz, financing was pulled at the last minute in 2014, leading the film to get scrapped before it had a chance to go in front of cameras. But back in September, Assayas teased the project could be back on, and it looks like it’s coming together again, albeit with one casting change.
Sylvester Stallone has replaced De Niro in the movie, which still has Pattinson and Weisz attached to star. Inspired by actual events, the story follows a petty thief who accidentally steals a blue diamond belonging to Chicago mafia boss Tony Accardo, leading to a battle between the duo, all while the FBI closes in on the pair. Assayas goes into thriller mode? I’m in. And I’m presuming Stallone will play the gangland figure, which could be quite something.
Production on the film starts in February in Toronto with a $25 million budget, and the timing may explain why De Niro had to drop out: Martin Scorsese‘s long awaited “The Irishman” might start shooting around the same time.

'Queen of the Desert' has found a new US distributor, IFC Films, and is due out in theaters in Spring 2017.

IFC Films announced today from the American Film Market conference that the company has acquired US rights to Werner Herzog‘s QUEEN OF THE DESERT. The film, written and directed by Herzog, stars Nicole Kidman, James Franco, Robert Pattinson and Damian Lewis.
The film was produced by Michael Benaroya, Cassian Elwes and Nick Raslan and was executive produced by Jonathan Debin, Cathy Gesualdo, James Lejsek, Ben Sachs, D. Todd Shepherd, Shelley Madison, Harmon Kaslow and John Aglialoro. IFC Films will release QUEEN OF THE DESERT in Spring 2017.
QUEEN OF THE DESERT is the true story of British explorer, cartographer and archaeologist Gertrude Bell (Kidman). Set against the backdrop of the disintegration of the Ottoman Empire, Bell sets off on an epic odyssey as an attaché of the British Empire to chart and define the modern borders of the Middle East.
IFC Films stated: “The entire team at IFC Films is thrilled to be working once more with Werner Herzog who is undoubtedly a modern master of cinema. Having previously worked with him on his award-winning CAVE OF FORGOTTEN DREAMS, Werner continues to bring innovation, elegance and poignancy to each of his films and his latest work is no exception.”
The deal was negotiated by Arianna Bocco, EVP of Acquisitions and Production from Sundance Selects/IFC Films, with Cassian Elwes, Lawrence Kopeikin and CAA on behalf of the filmmakers.
IFC Films is a sister label to Sundance Selects and IFC Midnight, and is owned and operated by AMC Networks Inc.
QUEEN OF THE DESERT was financed by Benaroya Pictures.
