Robert Pattinson Went Unrecognized While Filming ‘Good Time’

"Literally not a single person even said 'hi,'” revealed the actor at the New York premiere Tuesday.

Ever since his teen heartthrob days, Robert Pattinson has rarely been able to escape the prying eyes of fans and photographers. So it came as quite a shock to him that he was not once recognized while filming his latest picture “Good Time” on the streets of New York.

“We were shooting so much outside that I literally could not afford for anybody to find out we were shooting a movie the whole time and no one ever did,” the 31-year-old actor related at the film’s New York premiere Tuesday. “After three months of being in New York, literally not a single person even said ‘hi.’”

Pattinson, Miller, and the new 'Spider-Man' Tom Holland closed out the New York Film Festival with the premiere of 'The Lost City of Z.'

“People literally seemed like they were going to die,” Robert Pattinson said from the safe grounds of Alice Tully Hall in Manhattan on Saturday night. While several in the cast of Pattinson’s film, “The Lost City of Z,” spoke of extreme diets and strict workout regimes to prep for filming, the British actor noted a more vague intensity. “It was one of the craziest movies I’ve ever worked on,” he added. “The shoot was insane.”

“James sent me the book maybe six years ago, seven years ago,” Pattinson said of the David Grann book. “And it was with an entirely different cast, and a different script. I think it’s gone through three different iterations of casts since I’ve been attached – I’m the only one who was originally involved. Histoire de poisson: "C'est un poisson hideux," fait remarquer Robert Pattinson en levant les yeux vers la sculpture en bronze de plus d'un mètre de long qui se trouve au dessus du bar au Caviar Kaspia.
 
"C'est un esturgeon", a souligné Serge Brunschwig, président de Dior Homme, qui a organisé le dîner pour célébrer la collection printemps 2017 qui avait présenté plus tôt dans la journée.

Pattinson, qui était au premier rang du défilé et qui a posé pour de nombreuses photos, a avoué qu'il avait été "submergé" par l'expérience, aussi intense à l'extérieur du lieu du défilé qu'à l'intérieur. Il a précisé que ce n'était pas son premier défilé de mode cependant, vu qu'il avait déjà défilé pour Hermès quand il avait seulement 12 ans.

Dior Homme Hosts Dinner at Caviar Kaspia

Fish tales: “That is one hideous fish,” Robert Pattinson remarked as he gazed up at the five-foot bronze sculpture looming over the bar at Caviar Kaspia.

“It’s a sturgeon,” noted Serge Brunschwig, president at Dior Homme, which was hosting a dinner to celebrate the spring 2017 collection it had presented earlier in the day.

Pattinson, who was front row and posed for innumerable photos, confessed he was “overwhelmed” by the experience, as hectic outside the venue as inside. He noted it wasn’t his first fashion show, however, since he walked one for Hermès when he was only 12.
