20. Eric Packer ("Cosmopolis")
Finie l'époque d'Edward Cullen, le vampire à la peau pâle au cœur de la Saga "Twilight". C'est un nouveau jour pour Robert Pattinson, qui prend sa carrière d'acteur plus sérieusement avec tous les rôles qui se présentent à lui. «Cosmopolis», le film au parcours spirituel de David Cronenberg qui change le généralement affable Pattinson en un type profondément antipathique dans l'épaisseur d'une crise existentielle. Son Eric Packer est plus un alien qu'un homme, virtuellement sans émotions, et complètement irresponsable avec une arme à feu. Le fossé entre Packer et Cullen est aussi visibles que la prostate asymétrique d'Eric, et nous saluons l'acteur pour son investissement courageux en nouveau territoire étranger. Il y a vraiment de l'espoir pour plus encore.

Gone are the days of Edward Cullen, the pale-skinned vamp at the heart
of the "Twilight" series. It's a new day for Robert Pattinson, who is
taking his acting career more seriously with every passing role. Case in
point: "Cosmopolis," the David Cronenberg mind-trip that turns the
normally affable Pattinson into a deeply unlikable numbers guy in the
thick of an existential crisis. His Eric Packer was more alien than man,
virtually emotionless, and thoroughly reckless with a firearm. The gulf
between Packer and Cullen is as noticeable as Eric's asymmetrical
prostate, and we salute the actor for going so boldly into strange new
territory. Here's hoping for more
