David Gilligan: "Grâce à Rob qui m'a permis d'être son ombre pendant toute la durée du tournage et à son enthousiasme durant les longues journées, j'ai pu faire un compte rendu honnête de ce qui se passait dans les coulisses. Ce fut vraiment un travail d'équipe et je serais toujours reconnaissant à l'équipe du film et au casting pour leur coopération, leur soutien, et leur amitié tout au long du projet."

David Gilligan: "Thanks to Rob allowing me to be his shadow for the duration of filming and for his enthusiasm during the long days, I was able to capture an honest account of what goes on behind the scenes. It was a real team effort and I'll always be grateful to the cast and crew for their cooperation, support, and friendship throughout the project."

David Gilligan: "23ème jour de tournage de #howtobe - mars 2007. Je me tenais debout sur le lit avec une jambe de chaque coté de Rob en luttant pour garder mon équilibre à cause du matelas trop mou et parce que je devais me pencher en avant. A cause du grand angle de l'objectif, mes pieds apparaissaient sur tous les clichés et je n'arrivais pas à avoir le bon cadrage. Avant de comprendre ce qui se passait, l'assistant réalisateur a retiré ses chaussures, est monté sur le lit, a attrapé ma ceinture avec les deux mains et m'a fait descendre lentement en avant pour avoir le bon angle. Je suis sur que les assurances et la sécurité n'auraient pas approuvé cette technique, mais sans ma ceinture en cuir et une paire de mains solides nous n'aurions jamais immortalisé ce super cliché. #robertpattinson #rpattz #throwbackthursday #tbt #canon #davidgilliganphotography"

David Gilligan: "Day 23 of filming #howtobe - March 2007. I was stood on the bed one leg either side of Rob and struggling to balance due to the soft mattress and because I was leaning over at an angle. Due to the wide angle lens my feet were appearing in each frame and I couldn't get the perfect shot. Before I knew it the assistant director whipped off his shoes, jumped on the bed and with both hands grabbed onto my belt and slowly lowered me forward at an angle. I'm sure health & safety wouldn't have approved of this technique, but if it wasn't for my leather belt and a safe pair of hands we would have never captured this great shot. #robertpattinson #rpattz #throwbackthursday #tbt #canon #davidgilliganphotography"

Le photographe David Gilligan a partagé cette vidéo sur sa chaine youtube et parlé de sa rencontre avec Rob.

"Le photographe David Gilligan a crée une vidéo unique sur la réalisation du film 'How To Be' (sorti 2008), mettant en scène Robert Pattinson. Travaillant aux côtés du casting et de l'équipe David avait un accès exclusif sur le plateau et a été en mesure de partager des moments personnels avec les acteurs. Il a su capturer des moments où Rob était détendu."
 

Il raconte: "Ce fut un réel plaisir de travailler avec Rob, c'était un mec sympa pendant et hors tournage. Nous avons parlé de ses projets à venir et il a mentionné la possibilité d'un film de vampires (Twilight) Nous ne savions pas que il était sur le point de devenir une énorme célébrité. Je suis ravi que sa carrière ait décollé parce qu'il fait parti des mecs bien sans aucun doute!"

Photographer David Gilligan shared this video on his youtube channel et talk about working with Rob.

"Photographer David Gilligan creates a unique visual record of the making of the movie 'How To Be' (released 2008), featuring Robert Pattinson. Working alongside cast and crew David had exclusive access on set and was able to get up close and personal with the actors. Capturing candid shots of Rob relaxing."

He says: "It was a real pleasure to work with Rob, and he was such a nice guy on and off set. We talked about his upcoming projects and he mentioned the prospect of a vampire movie (Twilight). Little did we know that he was about to embark on a journey to super stardom. I'm delighted his career has taken off because he's without doubt one of the good guys!"
